- Streaming refers to the continuous transmission of audio and video files from one server to another client. Streaming is the transmission of audio or video files from a server to a client. The client device, or in this case, the Freedom Stream Scissor plays the media file, which is then stored remotely and transmitted over the Internet in a few seconds.
Many TV viewers are frustrated by the costs and customer service offered by satellite and cable companies and are cutting the cord. To cut the cord, someone switches to a new service or cancels their cable or satellite service. It is easy to switch. Here are some things to consider before making a decision.
There are 3 options for cutting the cord:
The antenna was the first TV, and it’s making an impressive comeback with cord-cutters. An indoor or outdoor antenna can be connected to your TV to receive free programs from local and network affiliate TV stations. This is a great way for you to receive programming from major TV networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox.
A digital converter box is required for older analog TVs and HDTVs manufactured before 2007.
You can access media streaming via a smart TV or media streamer box (Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast), as well as an Apple TV. If you subscribe to internet service and have a smart Blu-ray Disc player or smart TV, you can access movie and TV content without the need for an antenna.
3. Combination of antenna and streaming
This is the best cord-cutting option because it allows you to access local TV channels and adds additional content via the Internet.
Cutting the cord is easy with the availability of these alternatives to cable/satellite.
Streaming is faster than downloading media files and is more efficient. A video file downloaded will save a copy of it to a device’s hard disk. The video won’t play until the file has finished downloading. The browser can stream the video instead of downloading it. However, it does not save or copy the entire file. Instead of loading the whole file at once, the video loads in small chunks. The browser also doesn’t save any information.
The difference between a stream and a lake is the fact that they both contain water. A stream can contain as much as a lake, but the difference is that the water isn’t all in the same spot at once with a stream. A downloaded video file is similar to a lake in that it takes up much of the hard drive space and takes longer to move. Streaming video works more like streaming video. The video’s data flows continuously to the browser.

Freedom Stream is not a service provider, rather we provide the hardware (The Freedom Stream Scissor) with pre-loaded services from our partners.
We cannot separate services from hardware at this time.
This is the easiest part, and probably the most important. Here’s how it works: When you buy a Freedom Stream Scissor, you get a year of service (worldwide television and video on demand) included. After the year is up, you can renew the services. Just call us for more information.
Each account must have 1 main Freedom Streamer. You can have up to a total of 4 on one account. The best part of this, they all don’t need to be under the same roof. This is great for travelers and folks who have mobile AV in their vehicles and want to keep their kids occupied while traveling.
If you have a need for 5 or more, please call us so we can discuss your options.
The short answer: Yes The long answer: Maybe not from your cable company. You will need an internet connection that can sustain a minimum of 10 Mbps.
If you have a cell phone, and can turn your phone into a HotSpot (and have unlimited data), you can (we have and we do use it to connect our Freedom Streamers our truck) use your phone to connect to the internet.
Be careful, however – if you don’t have an unlimited data plan, you could go through data very quickly and have a very large bill. Please check with your cellular carrier to find out what your limits are.
That depends on you. If you can plug in a cable to the television and another cord to a power outlet, you’re 50% there.
The other 50% is turning on your TV and your Freedom Stream box and adding your WiFi info. That’s it. Open the apps and start streaming.
If you’re in need of assistance, you can always send an email to support. They’re open 24/7.
You don’t have to, we do it for you. When you order your Freedom Stream, we’ve set up the services for you so that you don’t have to. However, we know that you want to customize
The Freedom Stream Scissor works straight out of the box. If you want to add your own apps, you can do that on your own. The Play Store is on the Freedom Stream Scissor for you to download whatever applications/games you wish.
You can purchase as many as you would like. We have deals and promotions running all of the time.
However – depending on your internet connection, you may only be able to run 1 or 2 at the same time. We suggest connections of 150MBPS or above to run 4 boxes simultaneously.
Yes, you can, however, you will need to have a memory card or external hard drive attached in order to do so. Freedom Stream Scissor’s that are purchased with memory cards or external hard drives (an add-on at checkout) will come pre-configured.
If you add this on your own, you will need to set up each app individually to utilize the card/drive for storage.
